Biography: Dan Aykroyd was born 7/1/1952 in Ottawa, Ontario. He got his start in stand up, but was soon cast the classic sketch comedy series "Saturday Night Live." After Aykroyd's long stint on the show, he went into film. Throughout the 80's he played roles in such films as "Doctor Detroit, Trading Places, Ghostbusters, Spies Like Us, Dragnet, Driving Miss Daisy". In the 90's he continued his work, taking roles in "Sneakers, & Coneheads. Dan's most noted for his role in "The Blues Brothers" with the late & great John Belushi.

Is a victim of syndactylism, a birth defect where several digits are fused together. In the film Mr. Mike's Mondo Video, Mr. Aykroyd takes his shoes & socks off on-screen, to reveal this anomaly.
