Biography: Born on 8/10/1960 in Malaga Spain. Winning critical acclaim for his work in Spain, Banderas moved to the states to begin a highly successful career though he knew very little English. Nevertheless, his work in the movie "The Mambo Kings" earned him praise and his string of movies that followed including "Philadelphia, Interview With a Vampire, and Desperado" were all successful and won him a legion of fans.
