Kim Basinger Biography: Kim Basinger was born in Athens Georgia in 1953 and moved to New York City to become a model. However, Kim's dream was to act,
and she therefore moved to Los Angeles in 76 Her big break came when she starred opposite of Mickey Rourke in the hit movie "9  ½ Weeks". She also appeared in movies such as "Blind Date" and "Batman", and her work in the film "L.A. Confidential" netted her an Oscar. She most recently starred in "Bless the Child".
