Biography: Edward Burns was born in Valley Stream, Long Island on 1/29/1968 and studied filmmaking at Hunter College in New York City. After completing several short films, Edward worked as a production assistant on "Entertainment Tonight" but left that job after writing and starring in the Sundance Film Festival gem "The Brothers McMullen". Since then Burns has directed the romantic comedy "She's the One" and has starred in the films "Saving Private Ryan and Any Given Sunday".

Trivia: While working as a "go-for" at Entertainment Tonight, Mr. Burns financed (for about 15G's), produced, and directed his first film ... The Brothers McMullen in his spare time. Once completed, he got a copy to Robert Redford during an appearance he made at ET. Soon after, Mr. Burns quit his job at ET.
