Biography: Drew Carey was born on 5/23/58 in Cleveland, OH. Carey began working as a stand-up comedian and got his big break after appearing on the "Tonight Show". In 95 Carey starred in "The Drew Carey Show", and though poor ratings almost initially canceled the sitcom, huge success came during the second season when the show won a much wider audience. Recently, Carey also began hosting the hit improvisational comedy show "Whose Line is it Anyway?".
