Biography: Jim Carrey was born 1/17/1962 in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada. He started doing stand up, most notably in "The Comedy Store". His stand up gained a great deal of recognition and eventually made his film debut in "Once Bitten". But, it was not until 90' in "In Living Color" that he gained national recognition. Then in 94, Carrey's career blew up with his lead role in "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective". Since he has had a streak of success's including "The Mask, Liar Liar, and more recently, Me, Myself & Irene".
