Cattrall, Kim

Kim Cattrall Videos

Born Aug. 21, 1956, Liverpool. If all gym teachers displayed as much, uh, enthusiasm as the sexually voracious instructor Cattrall played in Porky's (1981), maybe our nation's youth would be in better shape. Actually, the notoriety she achieved in that trashy role doesn't do justice to this charming, offbeat leading lady. Educated in Canada, London, and New York, Cattrall first attracted attention as a brainwashed cultist in Ticket to Heaven (1981), which was followed by the Porky's breakthrough. She's been poorly utilized since, often in such frivolous comedies as Police Academy (1984), Mannequin (1987), and Honeymoon Academy (1990), but occasionally gets meatier roles such as the adulterous wife in Masquerade (1988). She costarred in the 1993 miniseries "Wild Palms" and the TV series "Angel Falls" (1993).

OTHER FILMS INCLUDE: 1975: Rosebud (her debut); 1980: Tribute 1985: Turk 182! 1986: Big Trouble in Little China 1990: The Bonfire of the Vanities 1991: Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (as a treacherous Vulcan).

Her most recent project is of course "Samantha" in Sex And The City.
