Biography: Kevin Costner was born on 1/18/1955 in Lynnwood, California. His big break came starring in two hit movies, "Bull Durham and Field of Dreams", released within months of one another. Using the pull of his success, Costner made his directorial debut in the western "Dances With Wolves". The film went on to win an Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Director, and since then Costner has starred in such movies as "JFK, The Body Guard, Waterworld, Tin Cup, The Postman, For Love of the Game, Message in a Bottle, and Thirteen Days".
