Leonardo DiCaprio Biography: Born on 11/11/1974 and raised in "the slums of Hollywood" Leonardo DiCaprio made his acting debut at age five when he appeared on "Romper Room". From there he appeared on more than thirty commercials, had guest spots on television series, and made few educational films before landing a role on the sitcom "Growing Pains" in 1991. In 1992 he left the show and was critically acclaimed in the movie "This Boy's Life". The critics darling from that point on, DiCaprio has since starred in "The Basketball Diaries, Romeo and Juliet, and Marvin's Room". Trivia: Hot off the success of Titantic (1997) in 1998, Leonardo DiCaprio was mentioned to star in many film projects. Such as: Ride with the Devil, Summer of Sam, Snow Falling on Cedars, The Talented Mr. Ripley, All the Pretty Horses and American Psycho, for which he was offered $21 million. Spider-Man and Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. He was also offered $22 million to star in a remake of "A Farewell to Arms" as well as star in numerous other projects in development such as: "The Inside Man", "The Crowded Room", "Laws of Madness", "Bombshell", "The Stanford Prison Experiment", "As I Lay Dying" with Sean Penn and Jack Nicholson, most of which couldn't support his bloated salary. (Currently $20,000,000) Other films
he was mentioned for were "The Godfather, Part IV" and the long in development "Slay the Dreamer". All of these followed his "Titanic" run, yet he only completed two films in the four years after: The Beach and Gangs of New York.
