Biography: Richard Dreyfuss was born in New York in 1947. After working on Broadway for a while, he got noticed for his role in American Graffiti. After Graffiti, he became well known for roles in "Jaws, Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, The Goodbye Girl, which he won an Oscar for, Stakeout, and Mr. Hollands Opus".
