Biography: James Gandolfini was born in Westwood, New Jersey on 9/18/1961. His big screen debut "A Stranger Among Us". He went onto appear in other films like "Mr. Wonderful", "Money For Nothing", "Crimson Tide", "Civil Action", and "8MM". In 1999 Galdolfini got his big break as he portrayed a New Jersey Mob Boss in the hit "HBO Original Series, The Sopranos". The show has won Gandolfini 2 Screen Actors Guild Awards and a Golden Globe in 1999 for best actor in a drama.
