Ava Gardner Biography: Ava Gardner was born 12/24/1922, in Grabtown, North Carolina and died1/25/1990 in London, England. She got her start when an MGM
associate saw her picture in a photo studio window,& eventually signed her to a contract. Her first roles were small, like her bit role in 42's "We Were Dancing." Her big break came in '46 with her first starring role in "Whistle Stop." The same year she also appeared in "The Killers." She continued to make hits like "Mogambo", "On the Beach", and "Night Of The Iguana." The last movie of her luxurious career was 1986's "Karem."
