Melissa Gilbert Biography: Melissa Gilbert was born 5/08/1964, in Los
Angeles, California. She got her start doing commercials as a child. She made her acting debut in 74 as Laura Ingalls in the classic series "Little House on the Prairie." She finished off the 70's with her role as Helen Keller in "The Miracle Worker." In the 80's she made appearances such movies as " Splendor in the Grass," "Choices of the Heart," and "Sylvester." She continued on in the 90's with TV movies, such as "Joshua's Heart," "Cries from the Heart," and "Zoya." Some of her most current roles include "Soul Collector, "Switched at Birth", and "Sanctuary."
