Biography: Born on 7/22/1947 in San Francisco, California. Glover caught the acting bug at age 28 and began taking classes with the Black Actors Workshop. Soon Glover was making inlets into the world of theater, and eventually television and cinema would follow. After having a recurring role on the television series "Hill Street Blues," Glover became a bona fide star when he acted in the movie "The Color Purple." Since then Glover has starred in such movies as "Lethal Weapon," "Gone Fishin'," "The Rainmaker," and "The Prince of Egypt" and has also had a number of television gigs.
