Biography: Melanie Griffith was born8/9/57, in New York. She got her start as an extra in '73's "The Harrad Experiment." She gained her first credited role in 75 in "The Drowning Pool." It was until the mid-eighties that she started to gain recognition, starring in films like "Body Double" and "Something Wild". She was nominated for a Best Actress Academy Award in '88 for her role in "Working Girl." In the 90's she appeared in such movies as "Nobody's Fool," "Lolita," and "RKO 281." Some of her most recent roles include "Cecil B. DeMented", & "Forever Lulu."
