Biography: Dennis Hopper was born on 5/17/1936 in Dodge City, Kansas. He got his big break after co-writing, directing, and acting in the cult motorcycle movie "Easy Rider." In 1979, he was back on track starring in the film "Apocalypse Now," "Blue Velvet" and "Hoosiers." In the 90's Hopper continued to have strong performances in such movies as "Speed" though he starred in some less than stellar movies as well, such as "Super Mario Bros."
