Biography: Nathan Lane was born Joseph Lane on 2/3/1956 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He debuted in the 87 film "Ironweed". He became very popular for his role in the "Birdcage" opposite Robin Williams. His next role showed off more of his comedic skill in "Mousehunt". He has performed on Broadway many times in shows like "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum", "Guys And Dolls", "A Midsummer Nights Dream", and "Moon Over Miami".
