Martin Lawrence was born in Frankfurt Germany on April 16. His first break came on the television show "Star Search," and from there Lawrence went on to host "Def Comedy Jam." Feature films were on the horizon for Lawrence, and soon he was starring in such movies as "Do the Right Thing," and "Boomerang." However, Martin's claim to fame is his work on the hit television series "Martin," though lately he has become a bona fide movie star with such films as "Bad Boys," "Nothing to Lose," "Life," and "Big Momma's House."
