Biography: Jared Leto was born in Bossier City, Louisiana on 12/26/71 and originally wanted to be a painter before choosing a career in acting. After finishing film school, Leto went on to star in the cult hit television series "My So-Called Life," and from there he went on to star in such films as "How to Make an American Quilt," "Prefontaine," "Switchback," "Urban Legend," "The Thin Red Line," and "Fight Club."
