Biography: Matthew Mcconaughey was born on 11/4/1969 in Uvalde, Texas. He won a part on the movie "Dazed and Confused" . From there Mcconaughey moved to Los Angeles and quickly won a role on the movie "Boys on the Side". However, it wasn't until he played the lead in the Grisham adaptation "A Time to Kill" that Mcconaughey got his big break. Since then he has appeared in such high-profile movies as "Contact," "Amistad", "The Newton Boys", and "Edtv ".
