Biography: Actor Paul Newman was born on 1/26/25 in Cleveland, Ohio . In 1954 Newman made his Broadway debut and soon movie offers were rolling in. His first movie was the forgettable biblical epic "The Silver Chalice," though his next two movies "The Battler" and "Somebody Up There Likes Me" faired better. However, his big break came when he starred opposite Elizabeth Taylor in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," and from there he was featured in such films as "The Hustler, "Hud," "Cool Hand Luke," "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," and "The Sting." His later films include "The Color of Money," "Absence of Malice," "The
