Biography: Actor Nick Nolte was born on 2/8/40 in Omaha, Nebraska. Nolte acted in regional theater and had small TV roles until the age of 35 when he starred in television's first miniseries, "Rich Man, Poor Man," in 76. From there Nolte went on to star in such films as "48 HRS," "Down and Out in Beverly Hills," "The Prince of Tides," "Lorenzo's Oil," and "Cape Fear." More recently Nolte has starred in "U-Turn," "The Thin Read Line," and "Simpatico."
