Bruce Martyn Payne
1960, London, England

Bruce Payne was born as Bruce Martyn Payne in London in England. He grew up in Kilburn, North London. At the age of 16 Bruce had a two-year ordeal with Spina- Bifida. Surgery saved his spine but kept him on his back for more than a year. He ended up being behind his studies and gained a hunger for knowledge. " I like to learn things" , Bruce states. Things like jumping out of airplanes, which he tried in preparation for Passenger 57.

Bruce's passion for performing started up while being a regular bluffed-entry stowaway on the film lots of Shepperton Studios. With practically no acting experience behind him, Bruce achieved a smooth entry into RADA ( Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts) where he spent 3 years (1979-1981) learning to hone his acting craft.

North America did not even know about Bruce until he played the role of Charles Rane in " Passenger 57" (1992). He was already a well established actor in England by this time and wanted to tackle the great unknown of the wild west. In 1998 Bruce has carved his name in wood in the US. (excerpts for bio compiled from www.agirlwholovesbrucepayne.com)
