Biography: Joaquin Phoenix was born on 10/28/1974 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was first only known for being the brother of the late River Phoenix. In 86, Phoenix made his film debut in "Spacecamp". He also had a roles in "Parenthood"' "To Die For" and "8MM" . In 2000 he got a role in the Oscar winning film "Gladiator" where Phoenix was nominated for a Golden Globe.
