Theresa Elizabeth Polo, Born June 1, 1969. Theresa Elizabeth, now known as Teri, was born to parents Vince and Jane in Dover Delaware. Neither are in the entertainment industry, but have always been totally supportive of her career. She has two older brothers, Mike and Steve. A straight-A student, Teri dropped out of high school in Delaware and gave up her position as a principal dancer of the Delaware Regional Ballet. She moved to New York City to pursue a career in show business. Here she attended the School of American Ballet and was signed to the Petite Modeling Agency. One of her first professional modeling/acting jobs was for a Cherry 7-Up commercial when the product was first released. Her first break came in the form of a soap
opera. Eight months as Kristin Larson on Loving led to a lead role on the CBS series T.V. 101. At the young age of 20, Teri earned the role of Christine in the 1990 miniseries Phantom of The Opera. This big break called for a grueling three-month shoot on location in Paris. Despite not knowing any French, Teri pulled off the nearly impossible task of learning 11 French songs for the production. About five years after Phantom, Teri took the chance of moving to Seattle for the role of Michelle Capra on the fifth season of CBS’s Northern Exposure. Unfortunately, the series was cancelled the next year. Teri took this is a sign to move down to L.A. The next few years led to various feature film and television parts as well as her photographer husband, Tony Moore. Teri and Tony met at Bally’s, their gym, in the San Fernando
Valley. It was practically love at first sight. The two eloped to Las Vegas in 1997 and are still happily married. Recently, Teri has become a hot commodity in Hollywood. She has had recurring roles in acclaimed series’ SportsNight and Felicity and landed the plumb part of Robert DeNiro’s daughter in the hit movie Meet The Parents.
