Robert Redford was born 8/18/37, in Santa Monica, California. In 58,he took acting lessons at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Redford got his first break in 56 on the TV drama show "Playhouse 90". A few years later he played a small role in a 59 Brodway production of "Tall Story". Many years later he played in Neil SImon's "Barefoot in the Park" on Broadway., & in 67 he played opposite Jane Fonda in the film version of "Barefoot in the Park". Later his other performances, "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", "Downhill Racer", "Tell Them Willie Boy Is Here", "The Sting", "The Way We Were", 'All the President's Men", and
the hit movie, "The Electric Horseman". Redford went on to direct the film, "Ordinary People", he won the Academy Award for Best Director. He has also appeared in, "The Natural", "Out of Africa", "Indecent Proposal", "Up Close and Personal", and "The Horse Whisperer".
