Mira Sorvino Biography: Born on 9/28/1967 in Tenafly, New Jersey. She was discouraged from acting by her actor father Paul Sorvino during childhood. However, after graduating from Harvard University, Sorvino caught the acting bug and got her silver screen debut on the Oscar nominated movie "Quiz Show". From there Sorvino moved on to star in "Woody Allen's Mighty Aphrodite", and for her efforts won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar Award. Since then Sorvino has starred in such movies as "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, Mimic, The Replacement Killers, At First Sight, and Summer of Sam".
