Meryl Streep was born on June 22, 1949 in a suburb of Summit, New Jersey. Meryl's feature film debut came in "Julia" and in 1978, she earned her first Academy Award nomination for "The Deer Hunter".The next year "Kramer vs Kramer" hit theaters, and she won her first Best Actress Oscar. Through the 80's she would go on to movies like "French Lieutenants Woman", "Silkwood", Out of Africa. In the 90's she starred in films like "Postcards From the Edge", & "Bridges of Madison County". Meryl's career continues through the millenium.
