Donald Sutherland was born 7/17/1934 in New Brunswick, Canada. He first gained respectability as Hawkeye Pierce in Robert Altman's groundbreaking movie "M*A*S*H". From then on, the six-foot-four actor worked at breakneck speed, appearing in scores of films. While the pictures ranged from terrific "Klute, Don't Look Now", "The Day of the Locust", "Casanova", "Ordinary People" to abysmal "The Rosary Murders", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", Sutherland was always impressive, his enormous versatility overshadowing the eccentric choices.
