Biography: Hilary Swank was born on 7/30/1974 and grew up in Bellingham, Washington before moving to Los Angeles at the age of 16 to pursue an acting career. Her first roles were on such sitcoms as "Harry and the Hendersons, Growing Pains, and Evening Shade" and her film debut was in the movie "The Next Karate Kid". However, Swank didn't achieve stardom until she won the headlining role in the critically acclaimed movie "Boys Don't Cry".
