A much svelter John Travolta heads up the cast where he gets to once again play the "heavy" and joining his band of merrymen were two former X-MEN, Hugh Jackman and the hot Halle Berry, who to the pleasure of males everywhere finally shows off those ample bosoms, Yeehaw! On this most exciting evening Warner Bros Pictures in association with Village Roadshow Picture and NPV Entertainment hosted the latest from film director Dominic Sena (GONE IN 60 SECONDS) and actionmeister Joel Silver (THE MATRIX) to hordes of screaming coeds. Present for the festivities were stars
John Travolta, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry and Don Cheadle. Other luminaries spotted in he crowd were Cedric The Entertainer, Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed, Paul Oakley, Michelle Johnson, Erik Benet, Khrystyne Haje, Leah Remini and Scott Caan.
Swordfish is the codename given to a dummy corporation that was run by the DEA; after being shut down in 1986 the company had garnered 400 Million in revenue. Fastforward to the present time, the funds have swelled up to 9.5 Billion. Needless to say the government wants those funds, specifically a counter terrorist unit called "Black Cell" lead by spy Gabriel Shear (Travolta) who uses convicted hacker Stanley Jobson (Jackman) to get through the encryption codes and access the capital he needs to fund his counter terrorism campaign. Jobson who is desperate to see his daughter Holly obliges the spy. Berry also plays one of the members of the squad and Travolta's love interest while Cheadle plays government agent A.D. Roberts.
