Biography: Emma Thompson was
born in London, England on 4/15/1959 and began her career doing standup comedy in British clubs though she originally wanted to be a writer. Disliking the lifestyle of
the standup comedian, Thompson moved on to British television and later British theater where she found smashing success. From there Thompson began to
take on more dramatic roles, starring in such movies as "Henry V and Dead Again. Thompson has since starred in Remains of the Day, In the Name of the Father, and
Primary Colors.
