Bandits

It was MGM's turn to rule the streets of Westwood as it presented the latest comedy caper from director Barry Levinson with Bruce Willis in the lead. Joining Bruce on the visibly absent red carpet were costars Billy Bob Thornton, Azura Sky, Bobby Slayton, Troy Garrity and January Jones. Joining these band of greedy simpletons were Hollywood's elite including David Duchovny, Jo Champa, Angelina Jolie, Demi Moore, Anne Archer, John Ritter, Amy Yasbeck, Gary Busey, Debra Farentino, Halle Berry, Matthew Perry, Heather Thomas, Michael Clarke Duncan, Jane Seymour, Jacqueline Bisset, Jennifer Gareis, Maria Conchita Alonso, Marisa Coughlan, Ray Liotta, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Bay, Tori Spelling, Shaune Bagwell, Kritsa Allen and Wesley Snipes.

The story takes place after two escaped convicts start a crime spree after leaving prison in a cement truck. Known as the "Sleepover Bandits" The pair kidnap the bank managers and spend the evening with their families taking them along the next morning to withdraw the funds. Joe Blake (Bruce Willis) is the charismatic brains of the operation while his partner Terry Collins (Billy Bob Thornton) is more of a self doubting hypochondriac that ends up sharing the same woman with his partner. Coupled with inept stuntman and driver/lookout Harvey Pollard (Troy Garrity) the gang continue their reign. In middle of the crime spree they run into bored housewife Kate Wheeler (Cate Blanchett), initially attracted to Blake but eventually in bed with Collins. A bizarre love triangle develops in the midst of their biggest heist at the Alamo Bank but things go awry when the employees realize that their is no danger from these misfits.
