Billboard 2001 The Arrivals

Just a short plane ride (approx 30 minutes) and a long line getting frisked at the metal detectors an poof, you're in Sin City, that's Las Vegas to you folks! This years Billboard Awards courtesy of Fox again made its' home at the MGM Grand Ballroom complete with the year's hottest acts. The award show honors the year's No. 1 artists and the songs calculated by Billboard charts all year long. Comedian Bernie Mac was the evening's MC with performances featuring No Doubt, NSYNC, Shaggy, Tim McGraw, Britney Spears, (at another hotel) Incubus, Alicia Keys with Angie Stone & Eve as well as an allstar rendition of Marvin Gaye's, "What's Going On" featuring Destiny's Child, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys, Eve, Jermaine Dupri & Nona Gaye. Presenters included a combination of film, television and musical personas such as Blink 182, Aaron Carter, Ludacris, Donal Logue, Creed, Godsmack, Jaime Pressly, Jaime O'Neal, Sting, Sean "P.Diddy" Combs, Missy Elliott, Matthew McConaughey, Mary J. Blige, Destiny's Child, Mandy Moore, Pink, Monica Keena, Nelly, Mark McGrath, Jill Scott, Jo, Lil' Romeo, Lee Ann Womack, Linkin Park and Las Vegas native Wayne Newton.
