Frida is the biographical story based on Mexican artist Frida Kahlo and her relationship with fellow artist Diego Rivera as they bring the art community to their part of the world. It also shows the troubled times of their marriage with Rivera's adulterous nature and Frida's affair with Leon Trotsky and several women through out the sexual revolution. Oscar buzz surrounds Salma as it would be the first time since Rita Moreno that a Latin actress has ever been nominated for and Academy Award.
