NOVEMBER 7, 2002, LOEWS CENTURY PLAZA CINEMA, CENTURY CITY, CA.
The squinting aging martial arts brooding bad boy Steven Seagal tries to attach his fading star onto the hip-hop audience by teaming up with rapper turned actor Ja Rule. As he did with DMX in the film "Exit Wounds", Seagal hopes that costarring with popular rappers will put him back on the movie map and in good favor with the box office.
Seagal entered the premiere with his nanny turned gal pal Alissa Wolfe while Ja Rule brought his entire family, mom and kids and posse down the ceremonial red carpet. Also on hand was actor turned director Don Michael Paul and his supporting cast including Morris Chestnut, Nia Peeples, Tony Plana, Kurupt, Bear and producer Andrew Stevens. Others wanting to see Seagal thump some bad guys were vips such as Bruce Weitz, Claudia Jordan, Mia St. John, Sacha Kemp, Guy Torry, Malinda Williams, Dorian Gregory, Darius McCrary and rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight.
Its' the new millennium and Alcatraz is open for business enter an undercover FBI agent, a doo rag wearing Steven Seagal as Sascha Petrosevitch. His job to stop Donny a criminal mastermind looking for his $200.00 Million worth of gold and its' location from a deathrow inmate. Donny with his band of gun toting mercenaries break into the high tech prison and only Seagal can stop him, of course he has help from the resident inmates and a wise cracking Ja Rule in tow.
