COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL:
SUNDAY

Ah the last day of Comic-Con typically very low key and perfect for that last minute haggling. Most attendees are working off hangovers and late nights at the Gas Light district in Downtown San Diego. I myself slept in and ordered myself a bi batch of Blueberry pancakes to start off the day but no wanting to make a complete sloth of myself I see that I still have one more important panel to pencil in for 10:30, 10:30!!!!!!??!? on a Sunday! Well as I hussle to get my ass in gear I know I won't be dissapointed in the annual STAR TREK panel that Trekspert Mark A. Altman has concocted. He usually has some kind of surprise in store and thats' exactly what he has a whopper of a surprise. Turns out he has
wrangled the script to ENTERPRISE's first show this Fall and he goes about acting it out with his panel Darren Dochterman, Jeff Bond, Robert Meyer Burnett and Chris Gore. Members of the audience also participated. The crowd seemed to writh in their sleeves as exerts from the show were read outload, I can now see the messageboards filling up!
From there I caught the last half of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA's tireless champion Richard Hatch but I was there to catch the encore presentation of the behind the scenes look at STAR WARS EPISODE 2 I'll admit some of the footage looked kinda cool and the thought of an army of Jedis going up against a clone brigade of Boba Fetts is getting my heart racing.
Meanwhile outside under the sails genre actors were trying to make that last minute buck hawking their autographs like June Lockhart from LOST IN SPACE, Playboy Playmate Lisa Marie Scott, Herb Jefferson from BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, Frank Gorshin from the 60s BATMAN, Peter Woodward of CRUSADE, WWF Wrestler Virgil, pin-up gal Linda O'Neill, Phil Morris from ATLANTIS, Gary Lockwood of 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY and horrormeisters Reggie Banister of PHANTASM and Lisa Wilcox and Tuesday Knight of A KNIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4.
Before hitting the road home I scoured the convention floor one last time to take some shots of the display Dreamworks SKG had for their upcoming film THE TIME MACHINE. What was on hand for fans to see were the various props including the time machine itself complete with stills of the actors and audio commentary describing the filming process. Guest throughout the weekend at booth included the film's director Simon Wells and FX king Stan Winston. After popping a few frames of the impressive booth I couldn't help but notice the gorgeous gal Top Cow had pumping up the crowd, she was quite the crowd pleaser let me tell you.
I guess that could be a good way of summing up Comic-Con cool stuff and hot chicks!
