The release of this film marks the directorial debut of actor Bill Paxton in a return to the suspense thriller of yesteryear. Not only does Paxton step behind the camera but he leads the ensemble about a man thought to be the instrument of God with the mission to destroy the demons that inhabit certain human bodies. Flashforward to the present where the adult Fenton Meiks (McConaughey) confesses to the FBI that he thinks his brother Adam (Levi Kreis) could be the serial killer they are currently looking for!
