UPDATE:

Original Angels To Cameo In #2
Charlie's Angels 2 is set to enjoy a blast from the past - when the original TV Charlie's Angels make cameos on the movie sequel. Drew Barrymore, who will re-team with Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu for the flick, has joined forces with director McG - AKA Joseph McGinty Nichol - to get the original TV angels Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith for appearances. Barrymore says, "There are definitely some surprises on that level. Apparently Farrah met with McG and loved the movie, which made us feel very good."

UPDATE:

Diaz Breaks Into $20 Million Club
Cameron Diaz will receive the heavenly sum of $20 million to reprise her role in Charlie's Angels 2. The huge payment, now confirmed by movie sources, puts the blonde babe into a category which only one other actress can claim to have reached - Ocean's Eleven star Julia Roberts. Male actors who have received similar pay packets include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Mel Gibson and Jim Carrey. As previously reported, Bill Murray will not be returning as Angels sidekick Bosley in the sequel, but both Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore are signed up to star. Schwarzenegger is reported to be getting a record-breaking $30 million for the third Terminator film.

UPDATE:

Production is scheduled to start on June 3rd, 2002.

UPDATE:

As expected, that face-off with The Hulk has been averted, with Sony moving this back a week (and a week closer to Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines on Independence Day weekend) to June 27th, 2003.

UPDATE:

Bernie Mac to replace Murray in "Charlie's Angels 2"

Variety reports that one of the original "Kings of Comedy," Bernie Mac, will replace Bill Murray in "Charlie's Angels 2: Halo."

Like Murray, though not in the same character role, Mac will serve as the mediator between the Angels (Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu) and their mysterious employer only known to them as "Charlie".

UPDATE:

Entertainment Weekly reports that Luke Wilson and Matt LeBlanc will return for the CA sequel, whilst Jaclyn Smith is rumored to be making a cameo.

UPDATE:

From Greg's Upcoming Movies at Yahoo:

7/08/02 - Talking to About.com, teen actor Tyler Hoechlin revealed that he recently auditioned for the role of Max, a 15-year-old motocross champion whose FBI information father is killed by the mafia. He becomes their next target, and the Angels are hired to protect him. Of course, this doesn't mean Hoechlin got the role, but it does give us some information about the film's premise.

Also, columnists Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith reported this week that two of the villainous roles that the producers are currently casting for are "Crooked Tooth", a Genghis Khan-looking Asian man who competes with Barrymore's character in a drinking contest and "Mutton Chops", a "brutish biker".

UPDATE:

Well production has been pushed back a few weeks, but we do have a little scoop for you. A Raiders-esque 'Mongolian Bar Scene' is expected to happen in a few weeks. Also, Justin Theroux ("Mulholland Drive") will play Drew Barrymore's ex-boyfriend.

UPDATE:

The script was apparently rewritten a bit following the casting of Bernie Mac to make up for the age difference between him and Foxx, as the character has been changed from being Bosley's son to being Bosley's brother. The Daily Llama Monty Python fan site reports that John Cleese has signed on to play Lucy Liu's father. Also, "Entertainment Tonight" reported this week that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will have cameo roles.

UPDATE:

Pop singer, Pink, will appear in the film during a motocross sequence, and sing the title song.

UPDATE:

Rumor: Look for a possible teaser to show up in theaters November 1st, attached to "I Spy".

UPDATE:

The Angels support the Angels -- From left to right - Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu took time out from filming CHARLIE'S ANGELS: FULL THROTTLE, the action-adventure sequel due from Columbia Pictures this summer, to support the Anaheim Angels as the team embarked on Game 2 of the World Series. The actresses were seen along with footage from their new movie as part of a special opening sequence taped exclusively for the game.

UPDATE:

Demi Hits More Trouble on 'Charlie's Angels' Set
9 December 2002 (WENN)
Tensions on the set of the new Charlie's Angels movie have reached boiling point - with Demi Moore' s co-stars banning her from socializing with them. Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu, who all appeared in the 2000 movie together, are reprising their roles for Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, but have reportedly not taken to Moore's presence. The feisty trio have resorted to banning the Striptease star from using their luxury facilities, which include a private dining area with a special chef, their own exercise room, massage tables and a comfortable lounge. According to American tabloid the Star, the screen beauties also couldn't help but notice that Demi's dressing room is every bit as fancy as theirs - and that she's getting the same perks.

Demi's Shaping Up for Renewed Success
6 January 2003 (WENN)
Faded Hollywood actress Demi Moore is so desperate to rekindle her past Tinseltown glory that she has reportedly undergone a full body make over. American gossip web site Page Six reports that the Striptease star, who is currently shooting Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, has splashed out a staggering $380,000 on personal improvements. The 40-year-old star, who plays Madison Lee in the sequel to the immensely successful 2000 original, has undergone extensive surgery primarily to rectify previous procedures. She has had an operation to downsize her breast implants, liposuction on her stomach, buttocks and thighs, collagen for her lips and porcelain caps for her teeth. And in addition to her artificial body sculpting methods Bruce Willis' former wife has also hired a nutritionist, a trainer, a yoga instructor and a kick boxing coach.
