27TH ANNUAL SATURN AWARDS

The location remains the same, some of the guests remain the same but trotting out some new inductees is the task of the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror's annual gala to award the prestigious Saturn Award to the best and the brightest the genre has to offer in both film and television. The 27th Annual Saturn Awards with a tribute to founder Dr. Donald A. Reed who passed away on March 18, 2001 was hosted by former BABYLON 5 star Bruce Boxleitner. Celebrity presenters and nominees included Bill Paxton, Robert Duncan McNeill and Jeri Ryan from STAR TREK VOYAGER, Ben Browder, John Rhys Davies, Lucy Lawless, Walter Koenig, Bryan Singer, Juliette Landau, Michelle Tractenberg from BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, Ben Browder, Vincent Ventressca, Jennifer Blanc, William Gregory Lee from DARK ANGEL, Devon Sawa, Cassandra Petersen, Robert Patrick, Alan Young, Bruce Davidson, Julie Benz, Josh Ryan Evans, Rick Baker, Dean Devlin and announcer Jeff Rector.
