It started as a video game by Eidos then adapted into a Top Cow comic and finally Lara Croft makes her way onto the silver screen! So who then did Paramount Pictures select to carry their newfound franchise into the sunset, the puckered bad girl Angelina Jolie.

Paramount Pictures, Mutual Film Company along with Eidos Interactive Ltd and Lawrence Gordon productions held their massive movie premiere along the streets of a favored premiere location, Westwood Village. Leading the charge into the theater was star and Lara Croft herself Angela Jolie who headed up the cast alongside virtual unknowns besides her father, Jon Voight.

Also from the film was director Simon West and castmates Daniel Craig and Iain Glen. Eventually making it for photo ops due to the backup with video press were famous faces belonging to Matt LeBlanc, Jeri Ryan, Colin Farrell, Sasha Knopf, Nelly Furtado, Samuel L. Jackson, Nicholas Gonzales, Brian Austin Green and Michael Delorenzo of RESURRECTION BLVD., Esai Morlaes, James Van Der Beek, Shannon Elizabeth, Thora Birch, Bill Paxton, Jessica Alba, Michael Weatherly and Jennifer Blanc of DARK ANGEL, Amelia Warner, Sean Patrick Thomas, Vitamin C, Poppy Montgomery, Michelle Tractenberg, Aisha Tyler, Vanessa Marcil, Garcelle Beauvais, Gary Busey, Paul Rodriguez and Dennis Tito.

Angelina Jolie portrays Lara Croft a well educated, wealthy and extremely well trained treasure seeker. She scours the globe in search of rare and valuable artifacts and wealth in all sorts of exotic locations. With the ability to find lost empires, hidden crypts by using her vast knowledge of languages she may have stumbled upon a commodity she may not be able to cash!

As the planets align and a secret society known as the Illuminati search out for an ancient talisman to aide them in controlling time they must first obtain a "key" to help them find the talisman. With only a week to locate the tool the organization goes to the home of Croft to retrieve it from Lara deceased father who hid it the estate's wall. Without the key the Illuminati will have to wait another 5,000 years for the next planet alignment but not before Lara Croft retrieves the key and finds the talisman first.
