Now for The Zone's Eye View

Surprisingly, I actually liked this movie, even though it was pretty cheezy for the most part! I heard several other opinions and finally decided to check it out for myself. Aside from the really bad padded bra Angelina Jolie had to wear, the movie and storyline were actually quite refreshing. The effects were incredible and knowing that Jolie did most of her own stunt work made it even better.

The concept for "Lara Croft" came from a video game. Well...video game or not, it was Angelina's role for sure. She plays "Lady Lara Croft" with a very well done British accent, and as the title says, a "tombraider". She shows incredible physical abilities with the many adventures she has, and is still able to show very convincingly that she still grieves terribly over the loss of her father. This emotion may have had a little incentive by having her real life father, Jon Voight, playing the role of her father.

Other than her mansion home, most of the movie was shot on location in areas not often filmed like Cambodia and Iceland. (which was meant to be Siberia in the movie). Definitely plenty of action, including scenes involving high tech weapons, cars, motorcycles, bobsleds, high tech machinery, bungies, and so much more.

There's also plenty of emotions, like gaining inner peace in a monastery in Cambodia, scenes of her remembering and talking with her father, her affection for her now "competitor tombraider".

I've heard from many people, this was a James Bond meets Indiana Jones type movie. After seeing it for myself- Angelina has created her own type of movie...it was an "Angelina Jolie action movie".

I would give it an over-all rating of 6.5 out of 10 for "Entertainment Value", as this definitely kept me entertained.
